This is an extension to the last post made about cognitive enhancing drugs, commonly referred to as brain drugs. I have recently gained insight about a highly effect brain drug called Piracetam. Pircaetam is a nootropic which is claimed to enhance cognition and memory, slow down brain aging, increase blood flow and oxygen to the brain, aid stroke recovery, and improve Alzheimer’s, Down syndrome, dementia, and dyslexia, among others. That is some bold claims, but we all know how the drug industry tends to exaggerate to get more customers.
Several students have been taking piracetam to improve their brain function during stressful weeks such as finals, the added boost of this drug is supposed to help with cognition and focus. This guy did an experiment with Piracetam and recorded the results, he found that it does actually work and it is a good thing to use, you can view his video here:
Many journals have written about this incredible miracle with bold claims, saying that it is a miracle drug and should be taken by everyone. Personally I am a bit skeptical about these claims, and I am reluctant to put any foreign chemical into my body without extensive research into the chemical. It appears that there have been a few studies on the subject and have found very few side effects, although some did report extra feelings of anxiety. When it comes to finals week I might order this product, but I am still a bit skeptical. I guess I will just wait and see if anymore research is provided on this chemical. If you plan taking it be forewarned that it tastes horrible!

did it work?
